We may have become expert at ripping open our private lives and putting them on display for Mark Zuckerberg and the world to see, but nothing is quite as fearsome as completing an online dating profile.

The ability to write a description of one’s self is no easy feat, let alone a description that will make you sound like a potential mate. More often than not, the result is more like an obituary then a personal sales pitch due to the limitation of a Microsoft Word template.

The trick to setting up and maintaining a successful profile may seem logical enough but it is worth commenting on what’s hot and not for the socially maladjusted like myself. (more…)
