Online Dating Profile Buzzwords – For Women.

Last week we advised the single men of Ireland what buzzwords they should be using and losing when writing an online dating profile.  Hopefully, they have put the advice to the test and increased their online dating chances!

As promised it’s now the girls turn to get some advice from CupidRocks.ie on what dating buzzwords they should use or lose when online dating.

Use

  1. Yoga.   When a girl says she does yoga, in a man’s mind this translates as this girl is fit, flexible and can get her body into all sorts of positions.  Do we really need to paint the picture here?
  2. Sexy.   You will get lots of replies to this.  Men are very visual creatures; what they see turns them on and all guys want a sexy lady!  Women on the other hand are different, which is why last week we advised the men to stay away from using the word ‘sexy’!
  3. Spontaneous.   This is what guys love to hear because they think you’ll be a spare of the moment type of girl.  So when they suggest ‘let’s go away for the weekend’ you’ll throw a few things into the bag and off you go care free, no guy wants the effort of the girl who’s going to spend days fretting over what to pack and even longer actually packing.
  4. Witty.   Everyone wants to laugh. Looks fade but laughter won’t.  A girl that can make you laugh is a huge turn on for men.  Guys will think ‘this is someone I could have a future with’, which is exactly the signal you want to send out.

Lose

  1. Financially secure.   When used in the context of ‘Looking for a financially secure man’ – it screams money grabber. When you use it to describe yourself you are definitely going to attract at least a few spongers. Best to be avoided.
  2. Cuddly.   This makes people think of a teddy bear.  This is not a turn on.  It could also be viewed as another way of saying you are overweight. Why not use the word curvy instead. Ladies, if you have curves celebrate them rather than downplaying them by saying you are cuddly. Remember – most guys prefer a bit of fat on the bones over the size zero look.
  3. Soul mate.   This term is overused and is one of the biggest dating clichés around.  Some people don’t even believe in soul mates. So to put in in your dating profile may lead people to think you might be a bit of a day dreamer, or that you are simply unrealistic.
  4. Beautiful.   Advertising that you are beautiful is not a very attractive quality.  As mentioned earlier, men are very visual creatures and of course they want to meet a beautiful lady. They can judge if you are beautiful or not by your profile picture.  So no need to state the obvious as it just comes across as big headed and ‘high maintenance’ – qualities, which I’m sure you will agree, are not desirable.

Best of luck with your online dating ladies, and remember to log into CupidRocks.ie, as lots of new members from all around Ireland are signing up each week.
